Not quite ready yet for "Steve Thonn Day," one of Arena Football's few remaining original players traveled the same pass routes this week for the zillionth time.

Thonn, slivers of gray peeking through his brown hair, cut across an outdoor grass field at Siena College, ending up each time where he belonged.

Each time, when the pass was on target and not batted away by a defender, he snared it with his sure, soft mitts, which adhere to a football as if they were lined with warm wads of chewed bubble gum.
