SA: No reason for Easter petrol price rises - RAA

South Australia's peak motoring body has called on oil companies not to alter their
weekly cycle of petrol prices in the lead-up to the Easter long weekend.

The Royal Automobile Association says despite world crude oil prices reaching near
15-year highs, oil companies should keep petrol prices at their lowest on Wednesday.

Spokesman HAMILTON CALDER says the RAA and all South Australians would look very cynically
on the oil industry if the petrol price discounting cycle that has operated in Adelaide
over the last three months suddenly stopped just because it's a long weekend and the beginning
of school holidays.

And he's urged motorists planning to go away for Easter to fill up their tanks early
next week to get the lowest prices.
