Vic: Family of gravely ill Pratt keep vigil as tributes flow

The family of RICHARD PRATT are keeping vigil at the bedside of one of Australia's
wealthiest men.

The 74-year-old Mr PRATT lies reportedly close to death from prostate cancer .. and
friends and relatives form part of a steady procession to the family home .. Raheen ..

in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.

Tributes are already flowing.

Business .. community and sporting identities have brought flowers and good wishes
to the mansion that was one of the symbols of the massive wealth of the self-made billionaire
and philanthropist.

Among them STEPHEN KERNAHAN .. former captain of AFL club Carlton which Mr PRATT once
played for .. and which he rescued in its darkest hour last year.

Victorian Premier JOHN BRUMBY has described Mr PRATT as a great Australian success
story .. who's made a valued contribution to the community.
