Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act A US federal law requiring that guarantees provided by sellers should be made available to buyers before a purchase is made and that they specify who the warrantor is, what products (or parts of products) are covered, what the warrantor must do if the product is defective, how long the warranty applies, and the obligations of the buyer.
